Taqueria El Toro | Our Story

About Us

When we emigrated to this country, we began to miss our traditions and our Mexican gastronomy. That is why El Toro Mexican Cuisine was born. We wanted to give our restaurant a magic touch, built on authentic flavors without match. Flavors that invite you not just to taste, but to experience our diversity: corn, beans, rice, chili, avocado, and cocoa. The delight of Mexican gastronomy deserves to be known across Texas and around the world. Through it, we hope to share something with every guest that makes us proudly Mexican.

Forest Hill is a quiet, tight-knit community southeast of Fort Worth — not a food-trend destination, just a real neighborhood where El Toro belongs.

Every tortilla is pressed fresh from the comal, every salsa stone-ground, every broth simmered low and slow until it's ready — not a minute sooner.
The molcajete moment

The molcajete moment

When a molcajete arrives at the table — hissing from volcanic stone, heaped and dramatic — the whole table leans in.
Weekend mornings belong to menudo

Weekend mornings belong to menudo

Every weekend, El Toro serves menudo and posole — slow-cooked, soul-restoring dishes most restaurants simply don't bother with.

Grub Street's "Tales of El Toro: The First Review of the Rest of Your Life" called out the depth and authenticity of the menu. For regulars, it was confirmation of what they'd been telling friends for years.
